Day 59 of 365
Chocolate again, yum yum. I love fudge sauce and peanuts on vanilla ice cream (keto of course) and decided to try making my own recipe since I can't seem to find one I like on the market. Here is what I came up with, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
1/2 c. Hershey's Cocoa Powder (or your favorite brand)
1/2 c. Heavy whipping cream
1/4 c. Salted butter
Large pinch Himalayan Pink Salt
10 drops (or more, to taste) liquid sweetener
1/2 t. Butter Flavor (or any other flavor you like, maybe just more vanilla)
1/2 t. Pure Vanilla
In 1 quart saucepan combine allulose, cocoa and cream, blend until completely combined and smooth.
Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add butter and salt, continue to boil slowly, stirring occasionally until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in flavorings Let cool at least 5 minutes before serving over ice cream. Also delicious over fruit, cake or stirred into hot coffee.
Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. (I doubt it will last that long :)
*I recommend using allulose because of the way it acts exactly like sugar. It does not raise blood sugar level or insulin levels and although some may be absorbed by the body most is eliminated in the urine. Visit allulose.org for more information about this "rare sweetener".
